Crypto Literacy Surges in Indonesia as New Survey Reveals More Mature Investor Behavior
Indonesia’s crypto education momentum continues to strengthen as the 2026 Crypto Literacy Month (Bulan Literasi Kripto or BLK 2026) officially concluded on Tuesday (05/05/2026) in Jakarta.
The month-long program brought together more than 4,300 participants across Indonesia, both online and offline. It featured over 25 educational sessions involving regulators, industry players, associations, and law enforcement agencies, reflecting a coordinated effort to strengthen digital asset understanding across the ecosystem.
Beyond the scale of participation, the key highlight of BLK 2026 came from its post-program survey results, which indicate a significant improvement in crypto literacy and more disciplined investor behavior among participants.

Strong Rise in Crypto Literacy Among Participants
According to a survey conducted by the Indonesia Blockchain Association (ABI), participants in BLK 2026 showed a notably strong understanding of the crypto industry. A large majority, around 87 percent, were classified as having advanced-level crypto literacy.
This level of understanding is also reflected in how participants perceive market dynamics. Nearly 90 percent of respondents said they are able to understand crypto price movements, while 89.5 percent emphasized the importance of using licensed and regulated platforms when engaging with digital assets.
Taken together, the findings suggest that structured education initiatives are not only improving theoretical knowledge, but also helping participants build a clearer awareness of market behavior, risk management, and regulatory compliance in the crypto space.

More Mature Investment Behavior Emerging
Beyond knowledge, the survey also highlights a shift in investor behavior.
Around 85.3 percent of respondents stated that they consistently conduct independent research before making investment decisions in digital assets, commonly referred to as Do Your Own Research (DYOR).
This reflects a broader move toward more cautious and informed participation, with reduced reliance on speculation and social media-driven hype cycles.

A Month-Long Nationwide Crypto Education Movement
BLK 2026 was designed as a nationwide initiative combining education, regulation, and industry collaboration. The program included public seminars, blockchain technical workshops, regulatory forums, and specialized training sessions for law enforcement agencies.
In total, activities were conducted across nine cities and supported by more than 15 local communities, reinforcing a multi-stakeholder approach to crypto education in Indonesia.
A notable focus this year was deeper engagement with law enforcement agencies through dedicated sessions on legal frameworks, enforcement challenges, and digital asset-related cases. This is seen as an important step in strengthening trust and accountability within the industry as adoption continues to grow.
BLK 2026 was supported by media partners including Coinvestasi, Investor Trust, and Tiger Research.
