The Indonesian Blockchain Association (ABI), Indonesia’s main industry body representing blockchain and crypto ecosystem players, has launched Crypto Literacy Month (BLK) 2026, marking the fourth year of its nationwide education initiative aimed at accelerating understanding and adoption of blockchain and digital assets.
Running from April to May 2026, this year’s program comes with a broader scope and stronger institutional backing, reflecting Indonesia’s growing commitment to building a more inclusive and well-informed digital asset ecosystem.
Under the theme “Integrating Blockchain and Crypto Innovation to Drive an Inclusive Digital Ecosystem,” BLK 2026 aims to connect technological development with real-world implementation across industry, regulatory, and institutional layers.
BLK 2026 is supported by Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK), the country’s financial regulator overseeing crypto, alongside key infrastructure players such as the Commodity Futures Exchange (CFX) and Indonesia Crypto Exchange (ICEx), Indonesia’s regulated crypto bourses. The program is also organized in collaboration with blockchain community builder BlockDev.

Expanding Beyond Retail
The official launch took place on April 7, 2026, in Jakarta, attended by key figures including OJK’s Head of Financial Technology Innovation and Digital Assets Oversight, Adi Budiarso, and ABI Chairman Robby SE.
The opening discussions focused on regulation, innovation, and the long-term direction of Indonesia’s digital asset ecosystem, highlighting closer alignment between regulators and industry players.
A key shift in BLK 2026 is its move beyond retail-focused education.
The program introduces a dedicated Blockchain Literacy track for developers, with technical discussions and workshops aimed at supporting builders within the ecosystem.
At the same time, a specialized Crypto Literacy program for law enforcement has been introduced, focusing on regulatory understanding, risk mitigation, and security. This reflects a growing need for institutional readiness as crypto activity becomes more complex.

Nationwide Roadshow to Accelerate Crypto Adoption
To reach a broader audience, BLK 2026 is rolling out a multi-city roadshow across Indonesia.
Public-focused sessions will be held in big Indonesia cities such as Solo, Yogyakarta, and Manado, primarily hosted at universities to engage younger and emerging market participants.
Meanwhile, developer-focused sessions will take place in Yogyakarta and Jakarta, combining panel discussions with practical workshops. Law enforcement programs will be conducted through closed-door discussions in Jakarta.
This multi-track approach signals a shift from retail-driven growth to a more structured, ecosystem-wide development strategy.
BLK 2026 will conclude on May 5, 2026, with a closing event summarizing the outcomes of the initiative.
Supported by media partners including Coinvestasi, Investor Trust, and Tiger Research, the program reflects Indonesia’s effort to build a crypto ecosystem that is not only growing, but also more coordinated and sustainable.

Why This Matters for the Industry
Indonesia’s crypto ecosystem is moving into a new phase.
BLK 2026 makes one thing clear: the market is no longer defined by user growth alone. It is increasingly shaped by regulation, infrastructure, and coordination between stakeholders.
For global players, this changes how the market should be approached. Entering Indonesia today requires more than demand validation. It requires an understanding of regulatory dynamics, local partnerships, and how the ecosystem operates in practice.
This is where most projects miscalculate, not due to lack of opportunity, but lack of context.
Indonesia Crypto Network (ICN) exists to bridge that gap. We connect global projects with regulators, industry players, and local insights needed to operate effectively in Indonesia.
If you are planning to enter or expand in Indonesia, guessing is expensive. Start with clarity.
